Hauck inks three-year contract after successful season

Montana football fans were greeted with news on Jan. 25 that head coach Bobby Hauck signed a three-year contract to stay at the helm of the program.

Former Montana basketball player Anthony Johnson died Wednesday at the age of 37 in Tacoma, Washington.

Johnson’s wife and former Lady Griz player, Shaunte, announced his death. In a Facebook post, she said he died at 6:27 p.m. on Nov. 1.

Judge rules UM did not discriminate against former Lady Griz coach in lawsuit

A U.S. District Court judge in Missoula ruled in favor of the University of Montana in a case filed by former Lady Griz head coach Shannon Schweyen who alleged sex-based discrimination on Oct. 31.

Schweyen, a former star Lady Griz basketball player who worked at UM from 1992 to 2020 and was the Lady Griz head coach for four seasons, filed the case in Nov. 2021.
